A good roll up meant the line to get in the entry gates was out onto Ferriers Road and there was a start delay of half an hour. Great to see such a good number of entries and spectators on a fine but hot day.
Mitch had his best day racing (to date) making it to the Quarter Finals but losing to James Barnes who went on to win “Stock” – unfortunately a .03 red light for Mitch.
Before that his 5 runs were all .0 green so it looks like he has himself sorted at the lights and also has the Panelvan running its best ever times with the current set-up – 12.49 secs. Good stuff for a 3 season old 253/Trimatic combo in a 3200lb Panelvan running Powerplus 100+.
More good news, Al Ostey’s Porsche went straight and consistent so the latest changes might have ended his torture.
Some photos below of a lot of the cool cars I saw there on Sunday and a quick video of Mitch’s runs.
See you on Saturday at NSW CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – ROUND EIGHT.
