Race Report
NSW Offroad Championships
7th & 8th March 2015 – Round 1 and 2
Hi All,
Well Mitch and Josh have had a solid start to the 2015 off road racing season. We spent the weekend at Sunny Bulahdelah where the NSW Enduro committee and Cessnock motorcycle club put on a great event with fantastic tracks. The juniors had a 7-8 minute sprint loop for Saturdays events and Sunday was a 2 hour cross country on the same loop as Saturday with an extra 7 minutes through some tough single trail.
Josh’s first offroad round on the KX250f in the J3 class couldn’t have gone much better taking 2nd place in the sprints Saturday and 2nd again in the cross country Sunday with some smooth consistent riding all weekend.
Mitch had only just got the OK to ride on Monday with a cast being removed from his leg after a break to the base of his right Tibia in a training accident 6 weeks ago. He went out with no expectations other than to ride and have a good weekend but managed to tough through and secure 3rd place on the KX85II on both days with some smart and consistent riding.
The boys are now both focused on the opening rounds of the 2015 Australian Offroad Championships in Queensland in 11 days time. Both are hoping to be on the podium and are excited to be representing so many great people with their efforts.
Thanks All,
Josh#103 & Mitch#204
The boys ride with Powerplus 99+.
