Sydney Dragway – 25th May 2013
After going to bed with rain coming down I was surprised to see a clear sky when I got up. We were at the track early as usual but the track needed more time to be dried and racing got underway by 11am. Steve in the Pano, Al Rawson in his Hotrod and myself in the Torana all got through the first couple of rounds and were going well but all of us lost Round 3 and we were on the trailer.
The inconsistency of foot-brake and accelerator makes it hard to get too far against super consistent cars using all the gear like delay boxes/transbrakes. So I am thinking it may be time to take that step myself as there seems little chance of a foot-brake class coming about anytime soon.
That being said we are a good nuisance value and hanging in the season point score.
Steve Dyson – S/ST 8th
Al Rawson – Modified 12th (Missed round 1)
Martin – SS/A 10th
Looking forward to Round 4, all the cars are going well it’s just the drivers that need to sharpen up, Al Ostey will be back racing his Porsche as well.
