The weather got off to a good start with a big entry list of cars and bikes in all classes, plus a nice crowd.
It was good to catch up with people we haven’t seen since last year and get back into racing.
Due to the time and effort put into the Torana lately we were a bit unorganised and it showed with Steve’s huge red light in Round 1, after a few distractions at the start line. Only Al Rawson in his Hot Rod got past Round 1, he ended up going out in the Quarter Finals. Unfortunately the rain came around 8:30pm and ended the meeting, such a shame to go all day and have to be cancelled right before the finals.
We plan to have the Torana ready for Round 2 and improve on our lackluster start to the year.
