Hi All,
Another big weekend has passed with great results for Mitch and Josh. The 7th and 8th rounds of the AORC were held at Coonawarra, South Australia. The Vellocette bike club staged a fantastic weekends event and should be congratulated. The tracks were challenging to say the least. Deep sandy tracks through pine forests were the main ground conditions and will serve as great practice for the Hattah desert race this weekend coming. Each day consisted of Sprint format riding. 8 sprint laps on the Saturday and 7 on the Sunday.
Round 7 on Saturday had the boys establishing a lead early with Mitch in front and Josh close behind. Close racing all day had some laps just 1-2 seconds between them. Mitch coming away with 1st and Josh 2nd.
Round 8 on Sunday was pretty much a carbon copy of Saturday. Both boys started the day consistently in front of the rest of the class. Their times having them again, both in the placings of the J2 class they will be in for next 2 years. Mitch 1st and Josh 2nd by a small margin.
Both the boys showed great speed and consistency through the weekend with a total of 62 juniors over 4 classes. The boys are in J1 being the youngest with 8 in the class. They finished very credible 22nd and 23rd outright on Sunday and Mitch 23rd, Josh 27th Saturday.

We are now at Mildura for this weekends Hattah desert race and the boys are looking forward to their favourite race of the year.
