AL OSTEY SURPRISE WINNER OF TOP SPORTSMAN

Sydney Dragway – 24th May 2014
NSW Championship Series Round 3

After running a 8.6 in Q1 of Super Sedan Al was pushed up into Top Sportsman (based on new rules) despite his objections. He has raced in Super Sedan since its inception and did not want to change but accepted the decision reluctantly.

With a number of other Super Sedan racers in the same boat it saw a big Top Sportsman field.

After winning RD1 against his long time friend Paul Foley, he went on to win, with a bit of help from red lights. He has always said “Drag racing is as much about luck as it is skill. You just have to be at the line ready to go and you’ve got a chance.”

Well done Al, from your friends at Powerplus NSW.

Al runs on PP Methanol.
