AUSTRALIAN SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS – ROUND 4 – NEWCASTLE

Following a pretty ordinary day on Friday, Saturday started off overcast with the threat of rain but fortunately it stayed away right through until the last race was completed.

We set up our display ready for the gates to open at 3pm, between then and 6:30pm the crowd kept coming in. We gave away stickers to the kids for their bikes and Dads for the beer fridge or toolbox. There was a positive response to Powerplus from all we spoke to and hopefully we will start to see it on the track with positive results like Taylor (next blog post).

The crowd on Saturday night saw some great racing, freestyle and monster truck action. By the end of the night we had seen Craig Anderson retire, Chad Reed win the main event (showing why he is a world champion) and Jay Marmont had won the 2012 Australian Supercross Series by running 2nd in the main event on Saturday.

Well done to all riders and their teams for putting on such a good display for the well-behaved 10,000+ crowd.

Finally I would like to thank Full Throttle Sports for the opportunity to promote our fuel and for putting on a well organised and attended event.
