BRIERLEY BROTHERS REPORT – GREAT RESULTS

Australian Offroad Championships
18-19th April 2015. Round 3 and 4

Hi All,

The past weekend had us travelling to Hedley, Victoria for Round 3 and 4 of the Australian Offroad Championships. Corner inlet MCC set up a great event in the sandy flats just north of Bass Strait. Over 300 riders attended the weekend and all came away with some great riding conditions.

Saturday was a X-Country format with Mitch and Josh doing a 2 hour race on a 14km loop of sandy whooped out bush sections and open grass track that challenged all riders. Both boys settled into a speedy rhythm. Mitch took a lead in the J2 class on the first lap and was never got close too with fast and consistent riding to take the win by over 2 minutes. Josh settled into 2nd place for the majority of the race in the J3 class keeping pressure on 1st place. Unfortunately 1st suffered a mechanical issue on the last lap and Josh pushed through to take the win. Both boys Kawasaki’s taking on the 2 hour race format with ease.

Sunday was a sprint format with yesterdays course cut in half to make 2 x 7km loops. Mitch again showed great speed from the 1st sprint and after 5 sprint laps in total came away with his second win for the weekend and putting him in the J2 championship lead after 4 rounds. Josh also had a great day building speed as the 5 sprint laps were completed. A faultless days riding had Josh and his KX250f scoring 2nd place for the round and extending his championship lead in the J3 class.

The Kawasaki KX250f and KX85II were both faultless on the weekend and with the help of all of their supporters we are hoping to continue to gain momentum and keep on the podium for a great years results.

The boys will now be preparing for a NSW Off road round in Denman on the 16th & 17th May, then the following weekend in South Australia for Rounds 5 & 6 of the Australian Offroads.

Thanks all,
Josh#103 & Mitch#204
