CARS FOR CASEY CRUISE 2014

After feeling lazy on Saturday (due to a few beers…) I got up at 5am to clean my ’66 Chevrolet Impala, which has not been cleaned or driven since the Snowy Mountains 1000 in November last year.

We then headed off to Penrith for the registration and had breakfast at Macca’s. Mitch took over the driving from there to Towradgi with Darlene in the backseat. I was a nervous passenger, but Mitch is a good driver so the Chev was in safe hands.

We arrived at the Towradgi Beach Hotel, what a top place for a Sunday lunch, even better the weather was perfect. Played a few games of pool, had lunch and then the raffle was drawn and I was lucky enough to win the signed collage of famed FMX rider Robbie Maddison.

Home time and Mitch jumped straight in the driver’s seat before I had a chance and we started our 2.5hr cruise home.

It was a nice, relaxing day spending time with my family. I was glad to be able to support such a great cause.

$2,863.15 was raised for the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia, well done guys! Looking forward to next year.
