Round 1
Gunnedah NSW 20/04/13
The town of Gunnedah was to host the first round for the quads, in a five round series. Good numbers for the quads, with 17 lining up to battle it out through the five heats to make your way into the final. The racing was tough, on a very fast track horse power was of course a big plus to have on your side. I was pleased to see our NSW series start off on such a strong note and hope it carries through the year.
To the final and four of the six quads lining up were running on the new POWERPLUS 99. The gate dropped to see Yamaha mounted Jeff McKee with the holeshot and Boothy on the Honda hot on his heels. A drag race up the straight ended in a braking duel with Boothy the victor holding on around the outside, and carrying on to put his head down and try to hold the lead from the chasing pack, which was dicing for positions. Final positions Jeff McKee 3rd, Craig Hill 2nd and Rob Booth 1st. All three on the podium were helped by POWERPLUS 99!

Round 2
Old Bar, Taree NSW 5/05/13
Round 2 saw the quad clan head to Taree for another hit out with decent numbers again and with that also good spectators numbers. All the big hitters were out to have a go, with four heats to get to the final. In the first few heats some upsets were on the cards but in the end the usual suspects came out on top. A few competitors had mechanical issues which didn’t help their cause but in the end there was great, exciting racing to be had for all to witness.
To the final… with a couple of new faces stepping up for the battle and it was a very close and nail biting race as spectators where not disappointed. Final positions where Sharna Stimpson 3rd, Craig Hill 2nd and Rob Booth 1st.
