NSW Junior Sprint & Cross Country Series
18th MAY – Round 3, 19th MAY – Round 4
Howdy All,
Round 3 & 4 of the NSW Sprint and XCountry series had us at a very Chilly Sunny Corner. Oyster Bay MCC had set some great loops through the bush and should be congratulated for the great event.
The first round on Saturday was a sprint format doing 7 sprints over the day. Very close racing all day had placings change a few times with Mitch taking 1st place for the day. Josh had some bad luck in one sprint with a front flat tyre and still managed 4th for the day.
The second round on Sunday was a Cross Country running for 1hr 30mins. Mitch got a great start and led the pack out into the bush with Josh having a start issue and bringing up the rear of the field. Mitch put in some fast laps and some good crashes but still managed to finish up second in very rough track conditions. Josh rode a clever and consistent race without incident to secure 4th. A great weekends results for the two of them.
A recent swap to Powerplus 99 fuel has been great for engine performance and reliability. The clean burn will definitely improve wear and tear levels on the engines. Thanks Martin at Powerplus NSW.
We look forward to the next rounds of the Australian Offroad Championships in Corner Inlet, Victoria this weekend.
